Our Cohort Model

Imagine Network’s leader cohort equips chief innovation and strategy officers with the skills to change how change gets done in school systems across the nation, improving outcomes for all learners. Our cohort model helps leaders create:

  • A shared, 10+ year vision for success that galvanizes the school system’s innovation priorities and embeds them in strategy tied to student needs

  • An education R&D agenda and roadmap to shape the path towards realizing that vision

  • The infrastructure for new, learner-centered solutions

“Imagine Network creates the rare space where leaders step out of the day-to-day and step into possibility. It elevates your thinking, stretches your imagination, and reminds you what bold, human-centered innovation can look like in public education.

What makes Imagine Network stand out is the direct connection between learning and impact. Leaders leave with actionable prototypes, clearer strategy, and renewed purpose.

Imagine Network helped me step back, re-center on purpose, and design with empathy. It reminded me that innovation isn’t about programs—it’s about people.”

Cohort 1 Leader

“My Imagine Network cohort experience was truly inspiring. Connecting with like-minded leaders in education who shared a passion for thinking big and making the impossible possible was a highlight.

We explored futurist thinking in education and the powerful concept of moving from preparing students for a world that doesn't exist yet to cultivating students who can shape their own futures.

This has challenged me and my team to think about the long-term impact of our work, pushing us to envision what our initiatives will look like ten or twenty years from now.”

Cohort 1 Leader

Our cohort experience teaches three core skill domains to equip leaders as change agents.

  • Strategic Foresight: Looking out on a further time horizon (10+ years) and exploring future scenarios to inform decisions and actions today

  • Inclusive Innovation: Defining a robust research, development and evaluation process, evaluating new solutions, and anchoring R&D in the science of learning

  • Human-Centered Systems Change: Creating a culture of shared problem solving and ownership for solutions, while fostering creativity and open mindedness when exploring new ideas
